Hidden inside the prestigious Macdonald Windsor Hotel, Caleys Brasserie rustle up Sunday Lunch with an eye to quality ingredients and fresh new flavours.
A ham hock terrine is served with wholegrain mustard mayo, truffle honey and radish for a filling yet light taste of Britain, while the smoked mussel soup with chive cream is an enriching, steaming bowl of goodness.
Follow this up with a fillet of beef served alongside curly kale and spicy pesto arancini for an exotic hit or go classic with braised neck of lamb, cooked until fall-apart tender and served with broccoli, rosemary gnocchi and lamb jus.
All mains are accompanied by hand-picked wines for a personal touch and desserts round things up in a truly indulgent fashion: apple tart tatin comes drizzled in butterscotch while an upmarket ‘Jaffa Cake’ is topped with whipped chocolate custard and earl grey tea cream.
Soak up the historic sights of Windsor’s Market Town and Windsor Castle, before departing from Windsor Rail Station.
