Found in the beating heart of the City, this historic building houses one of Manchester’s worst-kept-secrets in the form of The Albert Square Chop House.

Albert Square’s legacy as a Manchester institution has been bolstered, in part, by much-loved restaurants like The Chop House. The parent group, Victorian Chop House, also owns two beloved Manchester eateries, Mr. Thomas’s and Sam’s Chop Houses.

Chef Carl Fraenkl-Rietti has been honing his craft for years to become one of the most revered chefs working in Manchester. Everything is cooked to order, using local ingredients where possible and is sure to have you salivating well after dining.

Starters include Crispy Pig Fritters with tart apple puree, pickled quails eggs & English mustard mayonnaise and the mains run the gauntlet of British cuisine: roast rump of beef, traditional fish & chips and Albert’s Famous Corned Beef Hash – using a secret, 10-day recipe with sautéed potatoes and creamed onions – among others.

Soak up the Gothic architecture of the area, which is just a short walk Oxford Road and Deansgate stations.
