With an enviable location on the riverbank of the Thames, Oyster Shed is a modern British pub with a difference.

The panoramic views of the River Thames, The tower of London and the iconic Shard make the Oyster Shed a unique must-visit. But the food is not to be ignored. Prepared with the finest and freshest of British produce, the Oyster Shed takes it's menu seriously.

Naturally, seafood takes centre stage at Oyster Shed with the Sunday Lunch menu featuring the likes of their Pickled mussel Nicoise salad and their Stargazy pie, packed with king prawn Stargazer, smoked haddock, cod, salmon and dill sauce. Traditionalists need not fear, as they also serve hearty roasts - choose from 21 day aged Hampshire beef striploin, roast lemon & garlic chicken or seasonal vegetable wellington, each served with all of the trimmings!

Situated on the North bank of the Thames, The Oyster Shed is close to London landmarks such as the Monument.

Lovely spot for catching up with friends or enjoying a family meal. We’ve been a few times now and it’s consistently been a good experience. If you can, I’d recommend booking a table upstairs — the view over the river and The Shard is especially nice from there. The menu has a great variety, especially if you’re into seafood. The oysters, in particular, are some of the best I’ve had. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff always seem to work well together, which really adds to the overall experience. A quick mention for the bar team as well — Luda makes fantastic cocktails and is always friendly and welcoming.

We had an office drinks thing a few weeks ago at the Oyster shed. We prebooked a separate area in advance as we new it will be heaving with people on a Thursday. Weather was gorgeous, the place and the outside was full. Bar queue had a long wait but that is expected when they are this busy. They have a selection of good beers, wines and cocktails. The toilets are 6 flights of stairs downstairs from the main floor just round the right hand side corner of the bar, so if you don't want to walk that much find the lift that is situated between the right hand side bar end and the stairs to go down. The food is very good too, and our service was very friendly, proactive and helpful. I recommend the non alcoholic cocktails, the fish and chips and the curly fries.

This place deserves 5 points, unequivocally. We were here yesterday and just didn’t want to leave. The whole team were very friendly, I would like to single out Luda. She was wonderful. Thank you for everything. If you have not been here yet take the time to visit this place. You should add 5 more points for the view from the window
