Head to Delifonesca for a classically Italian breakfast at this family-run business that provides a cosy environment for Brunchers.

Delifonesca are fast becoming a Liverpool institution, with a casual dining venue on Stanley Street along with the recent opening of their Food Hall and Edge Butchers.

Delifonesca Dockside, however, is the cream of the crop. Situated on Brunswick Quay, the ever-changing roster of food is overseen by Head Chef Marc Lara and with the recent appointment of his wife Claire as the dessert-maker-in-chief, it’s a real family affair.

For their breakfast, they champion free range and rare breed livestock and give an Italian twist to their dishes: bacon or sausage ciabattas, eggs Florentine and frittatas are customer favourites, along with locally-sourced Inverawe kippers which are salt cured and oak smoked and served with poached eggs on toast.
