Decent place for a Sunday roast with large portion sizes and veg. Been twice and love the Roast Beef and Lamb. Roasted Veg and Potatoes are great but the boiled veg not for me. Beef dripping potaos are the best option. Also, got a pint of cider but its better to go for the refillable fountain soft drink option. The Sundae is also a nice treat for dessert. Great place for family and friends, but best to book as its bussy on weekends as expected. Service was great too, Welsh hospitality is very welcoming Over all very good value for money.

I came to the Cocklrshell as I was meeting up for a social event with a group of friends. We had an area reserved for our group which was around 15 in number. As I walked in, the staff smiled and welcomed me straight away. I got a drink and then going out table. We came up to the carvery and the food looked amazing and was well presented. The food was piping hot, well cooked and tasted amazing. The staff were very active in clearing tables and ensuring that customers were happy and didn’t require any further assistance. This was my first time here but I’d definitely return as the customer service was outstanding, the food amazing. The staff also noted when customers were leaving and made a not to say good bye and wished customers a happy day. Only three stars for atmosphere as there was mystic playing and it was a little too loud so made it harder to have a conversation for a person who is hard of hearing and wearing hearing aids.
