The Mill at Elstead is a homely countryside pub serving comfort food and huge Sunday Roast feasts.

Its rustic charm is the perfect setting for the tradition of a great British roast: opt for seats by the roaring fire in colder months or spread out in the outdoor terrace in summer.

It was renovated from a mill but has retained its deep sense of history and rests right along the River Wey for impeccable views of the surrounding countryside.

With a particular focus on fresh, locally sourced produce, Sunday Lunching here is a wholesome and replenishing event for the week ahead. Begin with black pudding and leek croquettes, which come with a Bramley apple ketchup for an autumnal woodland taste of country cooking, with delicious beetroot & fennel salads and goat’s cheese tarts for veggies.

These are followed by decadent roasts which include dry-aged Owton beef, Norfolk chicken cooked two ways, braised pork belly and a roast apricot lamb designed to share between two. Finish with desserts like lemon posset and sticky toffee pudding and unwind in the welcoming ambience of The Mill.

Milford Train Station is under a ten minute drive away.
