Lovely spot for a Sunday Roast! We had 15 of us meet up at this spot , it’s got a super convenient location and well positioned next to so many nice walks. The Sunday lunch was delicious , with a good veggie/vegan option. The manager was so accommodating, sorted out our tables outside so we could sit together and enjoy the sunshine.

Bad reception no good afternoon or I will be with you in a minute, 10 minutes before we were seated, another wait before we got served with drinks. Then another wait before we ordered the meal. Yet another wait before we got our meal to find it was just warm. Could not eat it We did complain Waitress very apologetic. Asked for the bill they deducted the price for the drinks which was appreciated but it would have been better if we had better service and a hot meal. It was not busy at all.

Wonderful warm welcome to the three of us and 2 dogs...lunch menu freshly cooked local food....2 generous samples offered of local beers..both excellent, and perfect temperature wine. Our dogs..large and small, were also offered treats after checking with us first. They too were delighted. We will certainly recommend you to everyone...the relaxed atmosphere of a true country pub with perfectly prepared and served dishes. A lovely finish to a walk on a sunny day. Thank you! X
