We had brunch at the Ivy on a Sunday. The food was good although nothing special. But we would definitely come back for the ambience and the impeccable service. We had a nice and chilled meal in a beautiful setting and were very well looked after by the staff. We had the eggs royale which come with chips. The dish was well executed and all ingredients fresh and tasty. we had a couple of veggie sides of which the heritage tomatoes were the highlight. we also shared the crispy duck salad for a starter but it wasn’t something I would order again.

We recently hosted our wedding dinner in the private dining room at The Ivy, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! From the initial communication to the moment we walked in, we were blown away. The set up was gorgeous, it felt elegant and intimate, yet still had that signature Ivy charm. The food was nothing short of spectacular—every dish was a hit with our family! It was clear that a lot of thought and care goes into it. The service was impeccable! The staff were attentive, always there when we needed them but never in the way. What really made the night special for us was how accommodating our host was. He was so polite and friendly and on hand with whatever we needed. As part of the private dining, we were able to have our own music, which allowed us to add a personal touch to the evening that really made it ours. It felt so great to also have some extra freedom with decor to create the atmosphere we wanted. And let’s not forget the complimentary glass of fizz! A lovely touch to toast our new beginning and celebrate the evening! Overall, The Ivy truly helped make our wedding day unforgettable. If you're considering a private dining experience, I can’t recommend them enough. Thank you, Ivy team, for making our celebration so special! 💖🥂

Ideally I’d like to have given this review 4.5 stars, 4 is too harsh, 5 is too high. The venue is typically Ivy stunning, a grand building, tiles, wood, hundreds of pictures on the wall, lovely cutlery, lovely crockery, ace toilets, it’s gorgeous. Service from the staff was great, but I gave it 4-stars as it took over 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Fair enough - we were booked in at 08:30 when it opened and perhaps the chefs didn’t turn up in time to get a load of prep done, but it isn’t typical Ivy in our experience. It wasn’t a massive inconvenience, but just seemed ‘slow’ compared to usual. Aside from that the people and cheeriness and everything about the service was ace. The food was great, a lovely full English, some pancakes and fruit, some toast, couple of smoothie juices, tea and coffee. We always enjoy Ivy breakfasts, whether it’s York, City of London, Manchester, and now Oxford.
