Casual fine-dining with a street food twist, Cinnamon Kitchen is an Indian restaurant tucked inside Oxford West gate Shopping Centre with an indulgent Weekend Brunch.

Soak up glorious views of the city in this jaw-dropping rooftop entrance, though the interior is so luxuriant you’ll want to while away the morning inside. The marble-ringed open kitchen is great for watching the chefs rustle up contemporary Indian delicacies, along with cushy forest green seats by the windows and a thrilling atmosphere in the cluster of central tables.

Another favoured seat in the house is the cocktail bar, where world-renowned mixologist Tony Conigliaro will whip you up eclectic cocktails like coriander seed Old Fashioned and an Amchoor Spritz with lemon peel and mango.

The Weekend Brunch Feast is designed for groups of 4 or more and, for just £24 per person, includes towering Brunch plates like sea bream kedgeree, chicken tikka naan, chana bhatura (a Punjabi fried bread with chickpeas) and crispy bhajis, not to mention sides and desserts – we strongly recommend the lassi panna cotta with orange and mint.

A la carte options are also great if you don’t fancy sharing: ‘uttuppam’ hails from Southern India and is a vegan delight that will entice even the most ardent meat-eaters. It’s a rice pancake filled with coconut chutney and a spicy lentil ‘sambhar’ (vegetable stew cooked in tamarind broth). Other dishes include Bombay-style scrambled eggs, potato paratha with pomegranates and even a tender, juicy lamb leg.
