Brown's Cafe is the original cafe in the Covered Market of Oxford which is popular with locals students and tourists that serves up a brilliant breakfast.
It's a no-nonsense cafe that offers quality service and home-made dishes that are freshly prepared on site. They also sell a varied selection of biscuits and cakes and Brown's is known to serve up one of the strongest cups of tea this side of the Humber-Wash line, all in quaint stainless steel teapots just like Nana used to.
And, there is a certain portuguese influence on the menu, thanks to the owners own portuguese heritage, including portuguese pastel de natas and queijadas - little baked cheesecakes - that are both to die for. Whilst it is an intimate space that is often busy, you shouldn't be waiting long to grab a seat.
