Gaucho Newcastle is the city's ultimate steak joint; the lavish interiors, buzzing atmosphere and the finest beef sourced from Argentina ensure the restaurant's enduring popularity.

Gaucho is a legendary relaxation spot for a Sunday Lunch. The roast sirloin of beef is served with roast potatoes and unlimited Yorkshire puddings, cooked in beef dripping. Accompanied with seasonal vegetables and served with unlimited red wine gravy. Or, upgrade to the bottomless roast choosing from three different joints of perfectly roasted meats.

Located in a timeless Grade II listed building on Pilgrim Street, Gaucho brings its first restaurant to the North East of England. Inspired by the deep heritage of Newcastle, the birthplace of railways, shipbuilding and electric lighting, the restaurant’s interiors reflect the industrial tones and materials while maintaining a sophisticated and stylish elegance.

We went to try out Gaucho on Restaurant Week and chose from the set menu. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the starters and desserts were equally fantastic. The staff could not be friendlier and we're happy to talk us through other options on the main menu. The food came quickly and was presented beautifully. The Restaurant itself is fairly new and has a great ambience and design. We're already thinking of when we will return to have an evening meal to try some of the other steaks from their extended menu. Would completely recommend Gaucho to everyone!

Came for restaurant week, the food was wonderful, the steak melted in your mouth. Staff were very professional and helpful. Bit on the pricey side £15 for one cocktail, £5 for water, £5 for bread etc but was a nice place for a treat or a special occasion.

Had a free chorizo steak for completing the great north run. Wow it was delicious, cooked perfectly (medium rare) staff are super kind and friendly. The deco is beautiful and the atmosphere was very chill. This was my first time solo dining out and was a great experience. Angela served me and was very attentive and kind 😊
