Winner of 'Best Luxury Restaurant’ in the UK at the British Restaurant Awards 2019, Peter Street Kitchen offers an exquisite Rikyu Brunch menu right in the heart of Manchester.
The huge stone pillars outside flank a grand entrance, signifying the luxury and elegance you’ll find inside.
Complimentary lemon butter and chilli sea salt edamame kicks off this three-course banquet. A cold buffet of intricate and colourful small plates ranges from tuna sashimi flatbread with truffle ponzu mayo to crispy salmon skin salad (veggies can enjoy avocado tartare with shichimi soy and roasted aubergine flatbread with wasabi sour cream), plus many more.
Next up, their signature & robata menu where you can select one dish, including sake-baked eggs with wasabi-rubbed ribeye and crispy kale, chicken & waffles or Japanese mushroom and truffle Toban-yaki, among others. Finally, the dessert section, as sumptuous as could be imagined. Try the Kuro Goma cheesecake with orange sorbet or the Japanese classic of assorted mochi, with flavours including coconut, yuzu and caramel.
This Brunch experience is just £35 – including a sake Bellini cocktail on arrival – though why not go the whole hog and upgrade to a ‘Puremiamu’ package for £55, where you’ll get an extra Yuzu Osaka cocktail, plus prosecco and wine throughout the meal. Even better, for just £70 you can indulge in the ‘Tokusen’ experience and get a signature lychee & raspberry fizz cocktail, plus with Champagne throughout.
Located in Manchester’s historic Free Trade Hall and the original home to the Hallé Orchestra, the restaurant enjoys a spectacular location, on Peter Street in the heart of Manchester.
