5.05 months agoHad a great meal at Gino with friends. The calamari starter was just okay, fresh but a bit small in portion. However, Gino’s carbonara was amazing, with a rich flavor and a good portion size. The tiramisu was also fantastic! The only downside was the service; despite it being a quiet weekday night, the staff wasn’t very attentive. That said, the food was enjoyable, and I’d definitely come back again!

5.02 months agoFrom the moment we walked in the staff couldn't do enough for us From the nice chilled atmosphere, beautifully decorated, venue and nice back ground music made the whole visit lovely Amazing wine selection Very varied menu and the food itself was cooked and presented o perfection Only slight fault for my personal taste was the portions were a bit large for me Normally i can manage 3 courses and coffee but only managed 2 courses I had the lamb cutlets were you got 4 think 3 would of been enough with the sides of veg but as said that's just a personal thing Looking forward to our next visit *Our waiter Claudio was amazing from start to finish and even got served a drink from Antonio the manager

4.04 months agoVisiting Gino D'Acampo's restaurant in Manchester for Mother’s Day was a pleasant experience overall. The staff were friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their helpful nature certainly set a positive tone for the evening. However, there were notable delays between courses, which left us waiting longer than expected. While a quicker service would have enhanced the experience, the warm ambiance helped to bridge these gaps. The garlic bread options we had for starters were a definite highlight—flavorful, warm, and thoroughly enjoyed by all. For mains, we had a mix of pasta dishes and the Sunday roast. The pasta was excellent, showcasing delightful textures and flavors that left us impressed. The Sunday roast, on the other hand, was decent; while the vegetables and gravy were well-prepared and flavorful, the beef had a tad more fat than I would have preferred. One thoughtful touch that stood out was the complimentary glass of prosecco for the ladies—an elegant gesture that added to the celebratory mood of Mother’s Day. In summary, despite the service pacing being less than ideal, the friendly staff, delicious garlic bread, and attention to details like the complimentary prosecco made it a lovely dining experience.
