Booked a table for 10 people well in advance Sunday Morning, This was a special occasion and we had a lovely evening out. Breakfast was meant to top it off and my dad is a big fan of Carluccio's so I was really disappointed the weekend ended on a low note, We arrived and there was only 1 member of staff on site. Our wait to be served wasn't a huge issue for us but I felt it was poor you were so poorly staffed. My breakfast didn't arrive with everyone else, our party had pretty much eaten by the time mine arrived. Another staff member arrived just after 10am which obviously helped, The food itself was nice and the review isn't a reflection on the staff member as she was clearly under pressure. However, I expected better and I wouldn't be in a rush to return particularly for breakfast

I wasnt particularly hungry and was just passing though the train station so my expectations weren't high. I was incredibly satifisied with this spot. I had Arancini, Foccata garlic bread, a peach bellini and frangelico. In hindsight I should have gone for a wine instead of the frangelico but thats on me. The service was pleasant and the bill was lower than I was expecting. I don't remember exactly how much I spent but a cocktail, a double shit of liqueur and 2 starter dishes came to arround £30. As a bit of a liquer snob more cocktail options would be welcome, it was a little odd to me that Frangelico and a couple other liqueurs were offered neat. Not an issue per-se but Itallian takes on the Espresso Martini using liqueurs like frangelico, Dissaronno or Galliano might be welcome additions.

I arrived early for my train this morning and ordered Mushrooms and fried eggs on toast - it was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, piping hot and very reasonable. The service was excellent, attentive and cheerful. A lovely start to my day.
