From Saturday 10th August, XU Teahouse & Restaurant will launch a free-flowing Saturday and Sunday brunch experience (12-4pm), in partnership with Perrier-Jouët Champagne, for those seeking a little weekend indulgence.
Guests are able to enjoy this free-flowing partnership when dining from the five-course Mister XU Menu (£39.00 p/p), which is made up of the restaurant’s greatest hits - offering a creative take on classic Chinese and Taiwanese cuisines, with a focus on carefully sourced Taiwanese ingredients. Dish highlights include Cuttlefish Toast with Whipped Cod, the Aged Middlewhite Pork Xian Bing dumplings and the signature Shou Pa Chicken which The Times’ Marina O’Loughlin described as ‘one of my favourite chicken dishes anywhere, ever.’
Perrier-Jouët, is known for gracing any event and was selected as the Champagne of choice, thanks to the delicate flavours and crisp nature of the drink, which perfectly offsets the complex nature of XU’s dishes. For those seeking a non-alcoholic brunch experience, the XU Tea Master has curated the perfect tea pairing for tea lovers to explore. Tea highlights include Sparkling Hong Yu No.18 Tea, Sour Plum Tea plus a Gaiwan of 10 Year Oolong. Whether selecting free-flowing Champagne (£25.00 p/p for 90 mins) or the XU tea pairing (£16.00 p/p), the brunch will be offering a truly exceptional drinking and dining experience right in the heart of Chinatown and a stone’s throw away from the theatre district, Covent Garden and more.
