Deep in the heart of Hackney, Wringer and Mangle is a treasure trove of quirky East End character and delicious Brunch and Sunday Lunch.

Weekend Brunch is the perfect fusion of classic breakfast dishes - think Full English, vegan breakfasts with bbble & squeak and sweet potato hash, poached eggs and avocado on toasted sourdough, which you can customise with extra spinach or crispy prosciutto – along with more leftfield options such as Cornish scallops with black pudding and a BBQ baked salmon with coconut rice.

Sundays will have you tempted to go the whole hog and get three courses of decadent treats. Start with a charcuterie plate or a warm pumpkin salad before the specialties: the meats. A slow-roast free-range Suffolk pork loin comes with crackling, apple sauce and a sage-infused gravy while the confit Porchetta, a nod to Spanish roasts, is cooked in black pepper, fennel seeds and garlic for 36 hours.

All the trimmings come on a three-tiered stand and include proper roasties, seasonal veg cooked to perfection, decadent pigs in blankets and hefty wooden slabs carrying meat cooked slow’n’low.
