The Happenstance is an industrial-chic restaurant and bar boasting international flavours and contemporary décor plus, of course, Brunch.

The Happenstance is a contemporary bar and restaurant located in Paternoster Square, directly beside St Paul’s Cathedral. Its interior blends industrial finishes with greenery and natural light, creating a clean and modern space suited to both relaxed Brunches and group dining.

Brunch is served every Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 4pm. The menu includes a mix of breakfast dishes, lighter options, and more substantial plates. Guests can choose from options like avocado on sourdough toast with radish, lemon and herbs, or Fable mushrooms on toast with vegan cream. For those seeking something heartier, dishes include the breakfast burger with beef patty, fried egg, smashed avocado and tomato salsa, or fried chicken and waffle with hot honey and sour cream. Classic Brunch favourites such as eggs Benedict, Florentine and Royale are available in half or full portions, with the full size served with chips. Other options include smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, and a selection of sides.

The drinks menu features a variety of Brunch cocktails including a Grand Mimosa, Bloody Mary, Peach Bellini and Breakfast Martini. Fresh juices, smoothies and non-alcoholic options are also available. Many of the dishes are suitable for vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free diets, and low-carbon meals are clearly marked.

The Happenstance is just a two-minute walk from St Paul’s station on the Central line, six minutes from City Thameslink, and eight minutes from Mansion House. Its central location and proximity to multiple transport links make it a convenient choice for weekend Brunch in the City of London.

Reminds me of that rainforest themed restaurant near Oxford Circus. This is an okay place to go to if you enjoy being in a loud club during the day. The music is blaring and it serves mediocre brunch. Sitting and eating is awkward due to height of tables but seems the intention is tapas and drinking rather then dining. Staff was seen having alcoholic drinks on the side and behind the bar. So, kinda party mood all around I guess. The value for the bottomless brunch didn't seem all that great. We had a rather large group(12) and despite pre-ordering, food orders were forgotten and even took awhile to show up for the first time, in-between dishes (brunch meal), and even the 'appetizer' type dishes 15 minutes before our 'time' expired. The tacos were nothing spectacular and the nachos pictured with bottom of the bag crumbled bits filling underneath. Poor form even for pub nachos. Despite all this I think the staff did a decent job keeping drinks filled. I might suggest doing some research before committing.

So I can't say enough good things about this place. The atmosphere is amazing. If you have been looking for a nice chill spot to call your own, this is the place to be. Michael makes some of the best drinks behind the bar and the service is exceptional. I love the music selection and the incense that permeate's the air sends to a Zen state of mind. I'm not one for going out on a Sunday but this place will have me sitting in their back garden for life.

One of the best bottomless brunches I've had. Been here a few times as a group with friends and we love it, everytime has always been a good experience. Food is delicious and good price. Outdoor revamp is great and staff are friendly. Make sure to book in advance for the bottomless brunch as it gets busy very quickly.
