As Mayfair’s premier establishment since 1423, The Guinea operated as an inn before growing into a beloved steakhouse and has retained all the history of its former glory.

The Guinea Grill regularly draws in famous clientele and dates as far back as the 15th century, the prestige of the place highlighted by the regal interior. Think leather upholstery, mahogany panelling, starched white tablecloths and vineyards worth of fine wine stacked around the dining room.

The kitchen, led by Head Chef Eugenia Paiva, painstakingly source their food from top-tier butchers ‘Godfreys’, where they have their own dry aging room. Sundays are a wonder at The Guinea: pick from roast sirloin, loin of pork or nut roast, all of which come with duck fat roast potatoes, double yolk Yorkshire pudding, honey glazed carrots and parsnips, swiss chard and curly kale, plus baby onions and crispy bacon.

Their new Breakfast menu includes an oven-baked omelette with hollandaise and crème fraiche, Indian-inspired kedgeree and buttermilk crumpets topped with smoked salmon.

You can find he Guinea Grill along Bruton Place, which is just a ten minutes’ walk away from both Bond Street and Green Park Underground Stations.
