    Meet some family here on a Sunday. Party of 8 with 3 dogs. Sat inside, cosy vibe yet spacious. Some had fish and chips which got praised, others had mango salad which looked good. I had veggie roast with nut roast, very tasty. Outside space looked good. They had a band playing so glad we sat inside so we could talk. I’d go back.

    Ordered: Handmade Scotch Egg - tasted great with a runny yolk Padron Peppers - could have done with some char notes Calamari - a little overcooked Avocado and Mango Salad with King Prawns - good but dressing on the oily side Potato Rosti Chips - great! Cheeseburger from the BBQ menu - this was excellent! - this must be ordered at the bar as it was not on the QR code menu. Food ordered from the QR code arrived promptly - considering they were extremely busy. A little slow on the burger. Two of us had finished our meal when it arrived. Service was polite and friendly. Good gluten free beer but the iced coffees were a tad diluted/weak.

    I love this pub with all my heart!!! My partner and I use it regularly and it never fails to provide outstanding food and service. Their chicken starter in particular is to die for and I am yet to find anywhere else who cooks chicken like it. Thank you garden gate for your beautiful food and amazing service that you always provide.
