The Diner take their cues from classic Americana so expect burgers, shakes and hearty all-day breakfasts.
Spearheaded by Marc Francis-Baum, The Diner’s first restaurant opened back in 2005 and favoured ol’ fashioned cooking and a greasy spoon/ retro diner interior and now has six venues spread across the capital.
The red, white and blue aesthetic feeds into the American atmosphere, with bar stools and leather booths to sit at and graffiti splattered across the white brick walls.
Go the whole hog with a Lumberjack Breakfast: eggs how you like ‘em, buttermilk pancakes, thick rashers of bacon, and crispy tater tots drizzled in maple syrup. Their iconic pancakes, however, are the signature dish here and they even offer a vegan option with strawberries and a smothering of chocolate. Add a root beer cooler or ice cream float for a true Yank experience.
The Diner Shoreditch is ideally wedged between Old Street Underground and Shoreditch High Street Rail, both of which are just five minutes away.
