The iconic Shakespeare Globe Theatre needs no introduction, though its flagship restaurant Swan is a lesser-known gem. Get unbeatable views of the city while dining on a delicious Brunch or Sunday Lunch menu.

Low-slung and cosy, the interior here is as inviting as they come and is steeped in history, with beautiful views of St Paul's Cathedral and other landmarks from the window seats.

Try the buttermilk pancakes with smoked bacon and maple syrup or, if you're more of a savoury fan, Eggs Royale, Benedict and Florentine never fail to satisfy. On a Sunday, try their indulgent roasts, with options such as roast Kentish chicken or Scottish sirloin, cooked to perfection and served with all the trimmings.

Southwark Underground Station is just under five minutes away on foot.

We went to this pub before heading to the Globe theater —just for a gin tonic and a quick meal. It's really charming and very well-kept. The staff, especially the waitress who served us, was extremely friendly and kind. I definitely recommend this place because they have a great selection of cocktails and dishes, ranging from simple and quick bites to more substantial options. It's an excellent spot, and I would definitely like to return. Highly recommended!

We booked the afternoon tea and absolutely LOVED it. We knew that it's definitely a touristy thing to do, but the quality of everything at the Swan was fantastic, it wasn't too cliche or touristy at all. We loved how it was Shakespeare themed, being next to the Globe Theatre. I also really appreciated the attentiveness of our server and his recommendations for London! They also have a straight gluten free menu that is so so so good, you don't feel like you're eating stuff that isn't as good of quality as the main food. Also the tea was excellent!!!

This is the fifth time at the Swan for teatime. Every time the theme is different and now they have Romeo and Juliet from teacups to plates and even the menu. The food is great with different selection of sandwiches, sweets and scones. The atmosphere is great, enriched by a great view on St Paul.
