returned to sticks n sushi @ the shoreditch branch after enjoying my experience @ the victoria one - the two are vastly different but i still had a great time! i made a booking for Saturday evening and it was understandably rather busy, and ill leave an honest review but take with a grain of salt as they appeared to be recovering from quite a rush alongside being potentially understaffed... the waiting time to be seated felt disproportionately long, some food items took muuuch longer to come out than others, and i had to ask for tap water multiple times before i got it..but at the end of the day i empathise with service workers, its rough out there especially after a rush!! didn't change the fact that the staff were friendly and the food was delicious, and overall it was a great evening. the dj is a nice touch although me and my dad found ourselves shouting at eachother to be heard - its a personal preference, just be aware the atmosphere may not be as zen on saturdays! 100% would return on a quieter day :-)

Lovely evening at Sticks’n’Sushi. The atmosphere is very zen and relaxing, the colour palette of the restaurant give a nice sense of warmness. The food has a varied range of flavours profile, the places are well presented. The cocktail was great, refreshing and tangy. I would recommend mostly for 3+ people as the menu allow to try quite few pieces.

Found this via TikTok 👀(my friend does not approve of me finding places to eat through TikTok but I think he seemed good with this choice) Took my friend here for his belated birthday. This place looked kinda fancy, the decor was nice, service and plating too! Also we had a lovely Fuji Caress which is a non alcoholic spirit shaken with matcha and grapefruit soda, it had a tang for sure, it came with branded plastic straw also the table settings was cute, each chopstick came with a pebble to rest on and all different sizes. Also when I made this booking there was options for certain occasions so I put birthday and then later the waitress we had brought out some sort of dessert on a stick (I forgot what it was and tasted like as we went in April 2024) We went with the Capre Diem set and some extras. Personally my favourite was the ebi bites and salmon carpaccio 😇 Honestly can not find any negatives in this place, maybe just smaller plates for dishes or bigger tables but that can’t be helped 😅 but also some dishes had wasabi and yeah.. The Yaki yagi felt a little too much as it was goats cheese. I did not enjoy it, it didn’t feel quite right in the set but it is what it is. Would definitely come again with more people as I’d like to try the larger platters c: Friends opinion: good decor, 5/5, easy to understand the menu, the set we chose was filling. Service was good, good portions, would make a great date place. Would go again.
