Smoking Goat leads the pack in Thai-themed Brunch, with an innovative and tasty mix of small plates and gorgeous Vietnamese coffee.

In an industry swamped with Thai-influenced foods, it’s surprising that more haven’t tapped into the more cosmopolitan aspects of Bangkok culture, instead relying on a rustic ‘family’ approach. Smoking Goat have filled this gap with a suave restaurant-bar that serves cool, refined grub for in-the-know city dwellers.

Exposed brick walls, stark wooden tables and Thai references adorning the walls provide an eclectic mix of a Soho dive bar with a traditional Thai family get together.

Curried saffron eggs with extra lardo are delicious and gooey and go perfectly with fresh roti and curry sauce as an accompaniment, though the house favourite is brisket burnt ends with khao soi Northern Thai gravy noodles, served in a hefty portion to overcome those bleary weekend mornings. Native day boat seafood is delivered daily from Kernow Sashimi and Wild Harbour and recent offerings have included a grilled John Dory with Seafood Nahm Jim, perfect for the pescatarian in your life.
