Exported from the Brunch haven of Dubai, Ruya is inspired by the flavours and ambience of Istanbul and is found in the luxurious heart of Mayfair.
Fusing Turkish cuisine with traditional Brunch dishes, Chef Patron Colin Clague, who has previously worked at Zuma and Caprice Holdings, sources dishes from the Anatolian peninsula stretching from the Mediterranean to the Black Sea and has a strong focus to seasonal produce from local suppliers.
The open plan kitchen looks out onto a sophisticated yet eclectic dining room with stacks of ornate crockery, patterned tiled pillars and brass and wood fixtures to accentuate the natural elements of the space.
A selection of nibbles are available while you browse the menu, including crisby aubergine chips and a classic dish of 'borek', filo pastry filled with feta, carrots, courgette and walnuts. Some recognisable Brunch plates - shakshuka, menemen, grilled asparagus with dukkah and nut butter - rub shoulders with authentic Turkish cusine. From the cold menu, why not try 'levrek', thinly sliced bass with mustard, apple and radish or a beef tartare with bulgur.
Hot starters include Jerusalem artichoke soup, perfectly paired with a spicy lamb 'lahmacun' from the bread oven. Mains range from lamb cutlets and marinted chicken to sharing pots of lamb shank and 24-hour slow cookey short rib in a chilli BBQ glaze, served with spiced Konya chickpea puree.
It's just ten minutes from Bond Street Tube Station, so why not take the scenic route through Hyde Park?
