Towering sky-high inside The Shard is Oblix East, a sophisticated European restaurant featuring an entertainment lounge and unbeatable views of The City.
Oblix merges upscale dining with a relaxed, urban atmosphere, best shown in the huge open kitchen – try to grab a spot nearby to watch the chefs work their magic – and a spit roast-charcoal grill.
Spearheaded by Rainer Becker, whose pioneering vision is spread across the whole of the 32nd floor of The Shard, the menu includes Brunch staples alongside more innovative fare.
Get a 3-course luxury banquet for just £55 per person, kicking off with light bites rom the deli counter. Truffled devilled eggs are a decadent option, along with parma ham & artichoke bruschetta, a crispy home-baked sausage roll and a lemon & herb couscous served with feta and mint yoghurt. Main courses are a hearty affair, such as the lobster omelette with shellfish sauce or a grilled rib-eye with fried duck egg. To finish, try the grapefruit & yuzu passet, a lemon & poppy seed cake or crunchy meringue with Chantilly cream. For an extra £20 you can make yours a boozy one with unlimited red or white wine.
London Bridge Underground is under five minutes away on foot.
