Nowhere celebrates the Best of British quite like Mr Fogg’s Tavern, one of Covent Garden’s best loved Brunch and Sunday Lunch haunts.
Dine under a canopy of oddities at this quirky Covent Garden haunt, where the décor is equal parts traditional tavern and modern botanical garden. Eclectic touches like a barside globe, classical oil paintings and proudly British memorabilia make this a truly unique experience.
For £38 you can tuck into 3 courses, plus bottomless booze, available every Saturday for the ideal weekend splurge. Start off with tempura prawns, goat’s cheese croquettes or a flaky haddock kedgeree, followed by a hearty ham hock infused with honey and ginger or, for the health conscious, a lobster and avocado salad which comes with a serving of grapefruit dressing.
Desserts are as decadent as they come, so treat yourself to some ‘drunken’ glazed figs with mascarpone or a chocolate Negroni truffle.
Every Sunday from 12 – 9, Mr Fogg’s offer a decadent Sunday Roast with enough unlimited gravy and punch to drown yourself in. Meats include roasted pork belly, baby chicken and a 24-day aged rib eye, which are served with huge helpings of seasonal veggies and a Yorkshire pudding, paired with their infamous punch concoctions.
‘Punch Up in the Garden’ is a gin-lover’s dream and comes with Bombay Sapphire, lavender tincture and rose lemonade, perfect for the spring season. We also recommend the tropical-inspired ‘Punched in the Coconuts’ and a classic G&T, available as unlimited cocktails for up to 1 hour and 31 minutes on the dot.
