Mercante has a lovely, cosy vibe, great ambience for a relaxed meal. The service, however, was a little slow, even though the place wasn’t very busy when we visited. There’s a good selection of cocktails, but the non-alcoholic drink options were quite limited. When it comes to food, the vegetarian choices were also selective. I really enjoyed the aubergine parmigiana. it was rich, comforting, and full of flavour. The bruschetta, however, was disappointing as the bread wasn’t toasted, and it lacked that fresh crunch you’d expect. Overall, it’s a pleasant spot for drinks or a quiet catch-up, but if you’re vegetarian or looking for alcohol-free options, you might find the choices a bit underwhelming.

The food here was actually really good. The service was a little too “relaxed” for us. In spite of making sure that the staff knew we were on a tight schedule, while the staff was friendly, they took their sweet time and sometimes came off a bit rude. They did apologize multiple times but ultimately when we were moved to the main hall for coffee and pastries this continued and we had to send back half our tea order as it took 30+ minutes for them to bring it and we all had to leave. Was expecting better

Had a Groupon voucher for lunch and bottomless Prosecco. Went on a sunny Sunday lunch time. We were given a window seat, which was perfect for people watching. Food was good, service good and enough Prosecco to enjoy the day. Followed by a lovely stroll through Green Park
