I had mixed expectations about Larch Restaurant at Sky Garden, having read a range of good and bad reviews beforehand. While there are certainly some highlights, a few aspects could have been better. One thing to note is that the Sky Garden website gives the impression that the restaurant is located at the very top of the venue, which it isn’t. This was a bit of a letdown, and I think more honest marketing would help set the right expectations for first-time visitors. As for the food, while it wasn’t outstanding, it was good, and the price for the two-course meal felt fair. That said, there’s still some room for improvement in terms of the overall quality. The highlight of the evening, however, was the exceptional customer service. Emanuela was an amazing host – warm, kind, and thoughtful. All around 5 stars and definitely an asset to this restaurant. She surprised us with a special touch for our wedding anniversary, which was a lovely gesture. Roohel, our waiter, went above and beyond to ensure we were enjoying ourselves, and kudos to Noujow (apologies if I’ve misspelled the name) for preparing a delightful anniversary dessert. Their attention and kindness really elevated the experience immensely. All in all, I will return. This restaurant excels in customer service, which for me is already 70% of the experience. With some tweaks to the way it’s marketed and a bit more refinement in the food, I think it could truly shine. I look forward to visiting again!

Extremely disappointed in the food especially for the price you have to pay in order to go up to the sky garden. We accidentally booked this not realizing it wasn’t actually on the sky garden it’s on the ground floor without a view. The menu looked great but the food overall was bland and not up to the standard. I got the pesto pasta which really didn’t taste like pesto and the fried truffle bites which were okay. The service was terrible. It took them 30 minutes to come take our order. After we ordered the food arrived at a reasonable time but our waiter never came back to see if we needed anything else including water. We had to waive them down just to get their attention which was really annoying. It took another hour after finishing eating to get someone to bring our bill. When we asked for boxes they said they would pack the food and bring it back out. We waited another 30 minutes and just left because we were so over the poor service the how long everything took. I could understand if it was busy but it wasn’t busy at all. Next time try the other restaurants since they’re actually in the sky garden and hopefully have better food and service.

***Note: Larch is not within The Walkie-Talkie, but directly adjacent. There is no sky view to be had here. The food and atmosphere were top-notch. The waitresses were polite, but in need of training. They found themselves in a predicament trying to maneuver food onto the table without clearing and walked away without clearing until we left. With 4 people, the table was cluttered with tableware.
