A cute east London spot with a French name, Asian twist and a big cello in a small dining room. £70 pp for the tasting & pairing menu felt about right. Small portions, nicely plated. Good accompanying wines. Generally felt like the Asian touches, although interesting, didn’t always improve the flavour of the dishes: if you’re going to play with classics like Beef Tartare and paint it with sriracha, it has to deliver. The Chilli Teriyaki Pork Belly with Peach & Miso was the better of the three courses. Overall, nice date spot. But maybe like the cello, needs a little bit more tuning.

We booked a Japanese whisky tasting and had a great time! Staff were friendly and welcoming- you could tell they take pride in what they do. Melissa was so personable and knowledgeable about her craft. We learned a lot and really enjoyed our tasting experience. Cocktails were perfectly balanced, food was delicious! Highly recommend, we hope to visit again soon!

We had the set menu with wine/sake pairing. The food was pleasant, and the staff was friendly. However the service was a bit slow despite it being a weekday. The ambiance didn’t really match the restaurant’s concept, both in terms of decor and music selection. The milk bread, onion soup and beef tartare and the sake pairing were fantastic.
