For a bona fide taste of the Orient in a luxurious environment, Kai Mayfair is the perfect Brunch spot.

Chinese cuisine may not immediately spring to mind when you think of Brunch but Kai Mayfair have cemented their status as one of the most innovative restaurants in town with their elegant, gourmet creations and have even been awarded a Michelin Star for their modern take on Asian food.

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, Kai have crafted a 15-course tasting Brunch with free-flowing drinks and dishes range from pan fried dumplings and La Mien noodles (coriander, spring onion, sesame and soy vinaigrette) to steamed monkfish, mussels and prawns with ginger and a tender pork belly with steamed bao, plus many more. Dessert comes in the form of a ‘Dim Sum’ platter, plus guests can enjoy free-flowing white, red, Champagne or Sparkling French Cremant for the full works.

Food is served banquet-style, dishes are served when ready and there are attentive waiters on hand to replenish drinks, meaning you can luxuriate in style. The restaurant is simple yet opulent with chandeliers and burgundy tassels and a ceiling-to-floor wine selection in their private dining space. Why not have a post-Brunch stroll across to Hyde Park? Green Park Underground is just over ten minutes away.

This one star Michelin restaurant is phenomenal. The shrimp was perfect and the dessert made for a truly memorable experience! Highly recommend getting the chocolate does grow on trees dessert. This place does get busy so I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Added onto your meal will be a selection of unique chocolates.

The A5 grade Wagyu was the highlight of the night, a really well-balanced dish. For the starters, the seared beef had a nice texture and ginger kick. All desserts looked amazing, the creme brullee my favourite. Our waitress was really nice but the bartenders were talking amongst themselves, like if they were talking about the clients, not at the level of a high-end restaurant.

Visited here with two great friends for Birthday Lunch. What an amazing experience and truly fabulous food. The restaurant is beautifully presented, the staff were wonderful and the food was exceptional. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
