End the week in style at Hawksmoor Seven Dials, a sophisticated steak restaurant with a stunning Sunday Roast.

The Covent Garden address is bang smack in the middle of tourist trade, yet Hawksmoor Seven Dials manages to create a tranquil atmosphere to enjoy their food, being set back slightly along a quiet street.

Best known as a steak and seafood restaurant, Hawksmoor Seven Dials have honed and tweaked their Sunday Roast to perfection, part-cooked over charcoal and served with all the trimmings – duck fat roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, carrots, greens, roasted shallots & garlic and lashings of bone barrow and onion gravy.

The interior has a regal grandeur that will take you back in time, though the low lighting and leather upholstery are thoroughly modern.

Covent Garden Underground is a short walk away, but why not check out the amazing shops and sights before heading back.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO This should be our last dinner in London this time. Checked Youtube and Google and was looking forward for a real treat. A Steakhouse that does'nt set the tables with steakknives is a warning sign. The waitress was bored to death, and rekommended the smaller (600 g) Chateaubriand instead of the large (900) we wanted. A Cour de filet (900g) must be a monster filet and even a 600 is impressive these days. 16 £/100g is quite hefty, but for the best part of the filet ...... First we had a actually very good Sour Cherry Negroni, where the black cherry accompanied the bitters very well. But then the Ultimate Steakhouse Martini turned everything upside down. Pickled juice from a jar???, with a hint of vodka??🤢 Then the bone marrow.........the mild taste from marrow drowning in fatdripping fried onion.... Then three sauces.....50 ml each for 4 £ each, Bearnaise, Gravy and pepper, problebly stright from ALDI.... Chips and Fries that actually was really good. And then the "Pièce de résistance", the Chateaubriand......unfortunately i didn't bring a scale....and the small parts from the head of the filet and ends?.......ends???? IT'S A F.....G CHATEAUBRIAND!!! No salt or pepper, only a weak rancid taste and that awful tallow taste, that lingers in your mouth, and won't go away.... Had to spit meat out. 180£ ........🤯🤯🤯 Hawksmoor is problebly the worst restaurant i ever sat my foot in and there's been quie a few..... Nedlessly to say, but we cancelled the sticky pudding and ran as fast as we could. Save your money or by a real good steak and a grill for the same money...... it can't be worse..... Actually.....throw your money away in Camden Market.......those guys are better chefs, and that says everything....

We have been here many times on visits to London and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious and consistent. We enjoyed the Caesar salad to start. Love that they don’t skimp on the anchovies. We shared the rib eye - medium rare, along with the beef dripping fries. Cooked perfectly. Finished off with the sticky toffee cake. Oh my gosh. Every server was amazing. Our favorites are Hamsa and Rae. See you again in the near future.
