Greyhound Café has been imported from across Southeast Asia, landing in Fitzrovia, its first ever European opening, with mouth-watering street food and Bottomless Brunch in tow.
Traditional Thai simplicity is the aesthetic and nods to its Bangkok origin with a distinctly cosmopolitan yet modest blend of monochrome terraces, swish bar and origami fish hanging from the ceiling.
During the week their early-morning offerings range from light bites including a gilled pork and cheese croissant, made street cart-style, plus a ‘Thai Dog’ Bahn Mi filled with sausage, coriander, pickles and everyone’s favourite Brunch sauce, Sriracha.
For those fancying something more authentic, Thai breakfasts include ‘Pork Khao Jee’, a platter that includes salad, spicy sauce and a bowl of melt-in-your-mouth skewers for dipping, along with ‘Khao Tom Moo Bacon’ which is a hearty bowl of breakfast rice soup and comes topped with a perfectly boiled egg and ‘gratium jeow’, i.e. crispy fried garlic for some added crunch.
