We had a lovely meal here with my family of 7 ppl. The cod and chips were delicious – crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked inside. The burger was just average, nothing special. The atmosphere was good, cozy and welcoming, and the prices were very reasonable. Overall, a nice spot for a casual meal!

When you have a Thames riverside restaurant in the most happening part of the strip, what could possibly go wrong? It seems quite a bit could and did go wrong on our visit after a limited screening of an older Tom Cruise film at the BFI Southbank. To start with, the service waiters are cordial but getting the mains altogether for the entire family is necessary: you do not get food for everyone and then leave one person hanging for nearly 15 minutes before his food arrives. The Burger was all okay but the vegan katsu curry tasted stale and the hanging grilled chicken was good but took a long time to arrive. The portions were quite small for the price but what really got me off guard is the cheek to ask for ‘tips’ when a hefty service charge is already on the bill! Guys, honestly if you were that good I would have obliged but nope, I would pass the opportunity to tip.

We had a fantastic experience at Giraffe in London Southbank! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their warm and attentive service. They were great with the kids, ensuring everything was just right for them, which made the entire meal so much more enjoyable for us as a family. The food was delicious and arrived promptly, which is always a big plus when dining out with children. The menu had an impressive variety of options, catering to both adults and kids. Definitely kid-friendly, kids loved their meals. The atmosphere was lively and fun, but still relaxed enough to enjoy a proper family meal. The location is ideal, right on the Southbank, so it’s perfect for grabbing a bite after a day of exploring the area. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Giraffe is the perfect spot for families looking for great food, and excellent service. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to others!
