5.03 weeks agoStopped by the restaurant this morning for breakfast/brunch. An excellent quiet respite from the busy city streets warm and welcoming. My spritz was tasty and refreshing. My Eggs Benedict had the most flavorful sauce I’ve had in years — silky lemony perfection! Service is as superb — thanks again, Sebastian.

3.0a week agoSo this review is only for the restaurant as I did not stay at the hotel. I had looked the restaurant up and had seen good reviews. The menu looked good. It was unfortunately at best average. There are far better options within a stones throw. The haddock souffle was fine. The mustard sauce was good. The rib eye steak was too thin to be able to be cooked properly. Flat and gristly (yes i know this is a natural product with variation but this was a quality issue). The onion rings were absolutely soaked in grease from being cooked at too low a temp. The fries were crisp but tasteless. The Chocolate Cherry bombe was so bad I sent it back after two mouthfuls which they did take off the bill. I'd had enough at this point to pass on the offer of a comped dessert. Would not go again. Sadly would say avoid.

5.03 months agoI had the pleasure of dining at Dean Street Townhouse in Soho, London, with two colleagues for a business lunch, and it was an experience worth raving about. From the moment we stepped into the elegantly appointed space, the ambience struck a perfect balance—sophisticated yet relaxed, with its classic British charm, plush seating, and warm lighting. It set an ideal tone for a productive yet enjoyable meal. We kicked things off with salads as starters, which were a delightful surprise. Fresh, crisp greens paired with thoughtful dressings made for a light yet flavorful beginning. For the main course, two of us opted for the salmon, which was cooked to perfection—flaky, tender, and seasoned just right. Our third colleague chose the pumpkin and chickpea vegetarian dish, a hearty and inventive option that didn’t disappoint, with its rich, earthy flavors and satisfying texture. The service was a standout: attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely friendly, which made the meal feel all the more special. Our waiter even offered a few spot-on wine recommendations that paired beautifully with the food. The pacing was ideal for a business lunch—efficient yet unhurried, giving us ample time to discuss work and unwind. Overall, Dean Street Townhouse delivered a fantastic experience—great food, inviting atmosphere, and impeccable service. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone looking to impress colleagues or simply enjoy a memorable meal. We’ll be back!
