Luxuriate in Breakfast, Brunch and Sunday Lunch with a Parisian twist at Coq D’argent, an elegant brasserie with authentic and refined dishes.
Breakfasts are kept simple, honing the essentials to absolute perfection – early birds are in for a treat with a continental spread for just £18.50 which includes a Full English, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and an avocado benedict alongside Viennoiserie and fruits.
The a la carte menu features French classics front and centre, with decadent foie gras and hand-dived scallop vol-au-vents to start and fresh pan-fried Dover sole for mains, along with a braised French rabbit leg and corn-fed chicken with black truffle and white pudding. Vegans are well catered to with a 3-course extravaganza for just £34.50. Begin with red and golden beetroot carpaccio and black truffle followed by roasted root veg couscous or a winter vegetable puff pastry. Desserts include dark chocolate brownie and a selection of homemade sorbets, a gorgeous way to end a long working week.
The recently-launched Le Grand Dejeuner menu is also an indulgent weekend treat – consider it France’s answer to Brunch, available every weekend from 12pm – 4pm. The French are notoriously protective over their cuisine but who can resist the charms of avocado toast? They give theirs a refined twist with extra helpings of South Devon crab and serve it on Melba toast. Other dishes include venison tartare, a creamy leek and potato soup and a cauliflower velouté with poached egg and shaved black truffle.
Aim for the gorgeous Chalet-style lodges, replete with furs, twinkling fairy lights and rustic decorations, for the full experience or relax and unwind over a glass of wine in the cosy interior.
