Peckham Rye’s old ticket office has been reborn as the Coal Rooms - a recent addition to South London's culinary scene, serving smokey treats from their bespoke charcoal grill.
Minimalist, timeless interiors occupy this Grade II listed building. The front of the space is a bar and coffee shop before the restaurant area featuring an open kitchen.
Brunch options range from cold pressed juices, cocktails, a full English for two if you can bare sharing, sandwiches and small plates.
Sunday Lunch has all the trimmings at the Coal Rooms, with smoked meat being their speciality thanks to the in house robata. Choose from 40 day-aged Hereford sirloin & smoked brisket, Smoked Cabrito goat shoulder, Beer & treacle cured Gloucester Old Spot pork ribeye or a Smoked Daphne’s lamb shoulder. Whwoar.
