We visited the Shard Aqua to celebrate our anniversary. Staff were all lovely and we were quickly shown to our table. Service was prompt but we asked for extra bread three times and by the time we received it we had finished our meal. We had a small black hair in my husband’s pudding but otherwise very tasty food, well presented and the chocolates with the anniversary sign were a sweet touch. My only comment was we went for the £85 lunch but I felt it was misleading as apart from two starters and two mains the rest of the choices had a £10 or £15 supplement which dramatically put the price up. A side of mash was £9 and truffle and Parmesan chips £9. As the courses didn’t come with veg what seems like a reasonable £85 lunch soon became a lot more. Just be prepared to pay more when you visit. We opted for a table by the window and the views are breathtaking. Well worth the visit but a one off for me.

Aqua Shard is a fantastic dining experience with breathtaking window views of London’s skyline from the 32nd floor of The Shard, perfect for a romantic date or special celebration. Our server, Cameron, was outstanding—attentive and friendly, making the evening even more enjoyable. The starters were delicious, each one full of flavor. The chicken terrine was delightful, the beef fillet was incredibly tender, and the duck was simply superb. We chose the window-side 3-course set menu with wine pairing, which was a great addition, though the dessert port wine was a touch too sweet for me. The Fleming signature drink was a standout—I had to order another! The vibrant atmosphere paired with those iconic views makes it a memorable spot for any occasion. Make sure to book a table in advance to snag that stunning view!

We had a wonderful evening at Aqua Shard and wanted to share our feedback following our visit. First and foremost, the service we received from Jorge was outstanding. He truly made our experience fun and enjoyable. His enthusiasm, attentive approach, and excellent food recommendations really enhanced our evening. Jorge’s passion for his job shone through and added a personal touch that made the night special, he’s a real asset to your team. The food was absolutely delicious, every course was exceptional. We genuinely couldn’t fault a single dish. In particular, the heritage carrots were the best we’ve ever had. That said, we did feel the dining area was overly busy with staff. On several occasions, we noticed food being taken to the wrong tables, including ours. While everyone was courteous, the constant movement made the space feel a bit chaotic and disrupted the otherwise elegant atmosphere. Additionally, the background music gradually became louder throughout the evening, which in turn raised the overall volume in the restaurant. At times, it was difficult to hold a conversation across the table without raising our voices. Despite those minor points, we had an amazing time. The cocktails and wine were divine, the food was flawless, and Jorge’s service truly elevated the entire experience. We look forward to returning.
