Peruvian cuisine is very in vogue across the capital and Andina is leading the pack with multiple venues spread throughout Notting Hill and beyond. Chef, cookbook author and restaurateur Martin Morales has become synonymous with flavour and quality in his 10-year reign and today has myriad Latin American restaurants in London, the best of which is Andina.
Inspired by his grandmother and the superfood ingredients found across the Andes, Andina first opened in Shoreditch to rapturous praise. The menu excels in his native cuisine, particularly the beetroot cured trout with egg and corn tamale. Be sure to sample their seabass ceviche for an authentic taste of Peru, plus a meaty Chicharron sandwich.
The eclectic street food aesthetic of the dishes is reflected in the décor: think multi-coloured, hand-woven crafts, Aztec prints and wicker ceiling lamps.
