Really great roast and would highly recommend. The pork was delicious as was the gravy, the roasties and the veg. My only criticism would be that the Yorkshire puddings were a little over done so they were quite dry. The dish could have also been served slightly warmer. The drinks selection is great and the staff were very accommodating. I will be back to have the lamb, it looked so good!

2* hoping this might actually get attention of Alice House. The food is good and I like the way the bar and the ceiling lights are done, bathrooms are clean. Everything else needs some serious work, though. We come relatively often so the below is based on several visits. For most part the staff treat you like a nuisance. Taking a food order after 30 minutes of you being seated, ignoring your empty glasses, no one comes to ask if food is ok or if you need anything else. Once I dared to walk in to try to ask if there may be a table we could book for later that afternoon. Got rudely told no, they don't take same day bookings. Zero attempt to be accommodating. Again, like you are unwanted. The chairs and stools must be there on purpose so you would not get comfortable and overstay your welcome. They are so uncomfortable you can barely feel your legs when you stand up after lunch. Tables are low, chairs high - no knee space underneath and you are squishing your stomach while you eat. Pure torture. Seating outside is much more comfortable but for obvious reasons only sometimes useable. Sadly, we have now agreed that given all the above we will give a go to other places in the area for a while.
