The opulence of Victorian Britain is brought to life at The Adelphi, a stunning pub serving a traditional Sunday Lunch.

This grand red brick building dates back decades and the interior makes the most of this with a grand fireplace, russet red carpeting and high ceilings giving the feel of a banquet hall.

Split some bar snacks beforehand, such as a Devon crab and avocado or some gooey rosemary & garlic-baked Camembert with warm sourdough. Mains include lamb, orange & whiskey glazed gammon and sirloin of beef with all the trimmings, though you can go non-traditional with a miso-glazed aubergine sprinkled in cashews and fried cavolo nero with jasmine rice. Leave room for dessert as their sticky toffee pudding is to die for.

Just across the River Aire is Leeds Station, at about a ten minute walk away.
