The place looks stunning (we sat in the rooftop area). The revamp is very nice, the booths and seating comfy and aesthetically pleasing. And overall it was fine. But I feel like it sells itself in a way that it just doesn't deliver. The food was fresh and definitely has quality in the ingredients, but i felt like the taste quality just wasn't there and just lacking. Nothing about any of the food blew me away or made me think it was amazing. I didn't leave thinking about going back, I was a little underwhelmed by it. As one of my favourite cuisines I often go to different Italian restauraunts and this just doesn't match up to other establishments close by.

The rooftop at Piccolino’s is stunning — gorgeous atmosphere, lovely vibe, and our server was genuinely fantastic. However, the main course I received completely ruined the experience. I ordered the large king prawns for £28.95 and was shocked to be served just six prawns and a slice of toast. Meanwhile, my partner ordered the seafood skewers for £28.75, which included six king prawns plus tuna, scallops, courgettes, and salad — all for 20p less. The price difference between the two dishes is simply unjustified. For a high-end restaurant, you’d expect consistency and fair value, but this felt completely unbalanced and honestly, quite disappointing. Such a shame, because everything else was lovely. But based on this, I won’t be returning.

Visit here with a party of 7 for a friends birthday on a Saturday evening. Was very impressed with the seating and lovely dining atmosphere on the terrace. Plenty of choice on the menu, something for everyone. Staff was very friendly, food took about an hour which was slightly on the longer side but as a party of 7 and Saturday evening can’t complain! Food was exceptional!! Pictured is the carbonara and one of the seafood pastas which were both truly excellent!!! Pasta ordered was the “large” size, truthfully this wasn’t huge and probably just a regular sized portion so would advise against the small portion unless ordering starters and/or sides aswell. Also had a few cocktails and wine. Really enjoyed our evening, staff was warm and friendly. Will definitely be back to try more off the menu !
