Beautiful place for eating, this is probably our 2nd time here. The interior is clean and modern but with a touch of countryside feeling. Service is fast, friendly and professional on our visit, very welcoming. The highlight is the food, everything just leaves your mouth watering for more. I would highly recommend the Devilled Chicken Livers, very tender, full of creamy flavour and light on the stomach. You're probably thinking (I don't like liver or kidney), this dish will not disappoint those who are not fond on liver. The broccoli and watercress soup was also very nice, thick puree style soup full of flavour. If you're coming here to eat and the weather is warm and sunny, I would recommend eating outside at the back of the venue to enjoy the beautiful English countryside views and peaceful backdrop away from the main road. In the winter the nicely furnished tables within near the fireplace is also a romantic treat.

Enjoyed an excellent meal on the one-night seafood stay... blessed with good weather we sat in the garden overlooking gorgeous countryside to tuck into a supper whose quantity was matched by its quality. Each member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful and it all added up to make it a memorable occasion - and excellent value for money. This was our second stay, and won't be our last!

Excellent service by the bar staff on arrival with a swift and friendly procedure with Leo who showed us to our room with no fuss but very knowledgable about the pub and the area. The room (number2)was spacious, comfortable and spotless clean with all the usual extras that make it feel like home. Bathroom spotless with an excellent shower over a bath. Breakfast was smashing tasty and hot and more than sufficient. All in all a very enjoyable weekend and we'll be back
