Situated on the Thames in the beautiful Canbury Gardens, The Boaters Inn is a gorgeous pub and restaurant featuring a riverside beer garden that backs directly onto the park with a quiet sunset balcony.

The interior strikes the perfect balance between classic and traditional with contemporary and stylish. Relax in the riverside raised dining area opposite the bar with mesmerising views across the water, or the smaller dining space by the back garden.

Famed for its standout menu of gastro grub, the Sunday menu at The Boaters Inn features a wide selection of roasts, from roast beef to a plant based Wellington. The roasts are all served with roast potatoes, mixed kale, maple-roasted carrots, mulled red cabbage, Yorkshire pudding and plenty of gravy.

Just a 10-minute walk from central Kingston, The Boaters Inn is easily accessible from Kingston Station.

Lovely pub with an outdoor terrace area for seating. Was really busy and we unfortunately didn't book but thankfully the staff managed to get us a table inside. The food was okay'ish, I say better to have a drink here and walk in to Kingston for a bite to eat. Felt like it was quite overpriced in my opinion. It had such lovely views of the river so will definitely come back for a drink more than the food next time.

£73 for 2 of the worst roasts my partner and I have ever had. I had order the lamb roast, here is everything that was wrong with it: -Stale cold soggy roast potatoes -Lamb tasted like boiled liver (take that as you will) and you can tell it was cooked with no herbs or even salt. -Gravy was watery and no flavour -Yorkshire was soggy -Over cooked sad carrots and I couldn’t make out what the other veg was -Stuffing was ok, only thing that mildly have any flavour My partner ordered the chicken roast. The chicken was acceptable, it was juicy and edible at least. The veg was the same as my lamb roast. We also ordered cauliflower cheese which was bland and cold. The entire meal was luke warm / borderline cold. When I had told our waiter, he kindly replaced the lamb meal with another one. But it was just as bad, only now just microwaved (potatoes still cold inside) It’s a shame as we last came in December and the roast dinner here was lovely, hence why we decided to come back. The service here was lovely as usual and our waiter was brilliant. Unfortunately won’t be coming back for a roast again! Disappointed and miserable!

Visited on a Monday lunch. Extensive menu but they must have had a busy Sunday as loads of choices not available. Having said that we went for both the standard burgers and the vegan burgers and they are both very good. Lovely view over the Thames Child friendly and a hi chair was immediately available..
