The Paper Mill has been lining the stomachs of locals for aeons and knows a thing or two about whipping up a good Sunday Roast.
The beautiful location is one of many reasons to dine here, partilcularly the stunning view over the Grand Union Canal. Aim for a spot by the river in their beer garden or, should you amble indoors, you'll find a haven of comfortable, countryside decor.
All the traditional Brunch dishes are here, cooked to perfection: pick from Eggs Benedict, Royale and Florentine or try their breakfast cholla buns, a decadent Isreali-style bap packed with sausage or bacon.
Sundays are the main event at Paper Mill and they encourage you to gather round -with family and friends in tow - for a lavish feast. Share classic pub nibbles like pork scratchings, pork pies, rosemary focaccia and olives to whet the appetite. Starters will similarly get you salivating. Potted duck with spiced pear chutney is a delicious, creative twist on British cuisine as is the cured sea trout with charred gherkin.
Then on to the magnum opus: the roast. Pick from roast chicken, dry-aged topside beef or pork belly (veggies can enjoy a homemade nut roast) plus all the trimmings. Try to leave room for dessert and get a British classic like summer fruit pudding, apple crumble or a strawberry Eton mess.
