Shibden Mill Inn is an award winning country Inn nestled in the beautiful Shibden Valley. Sourcing the finest and freshest ingredients from local and specialist suppliers, Shibden Mill Inn offer a delicious Sunday Lunch.

Originally a corn and spinning mill, the 17th century Shibden Mill was converted into a country pub in 1890. Visitors are now welcomed with warm hospitality to enjoy a luxurious experience against the inviting backdrop of open fires and a cosy interior.

Start off your Sunday Lunch with an aperitif and some nibbles, while you make your choice from two or three-courses of decadent dishes. Starters include options such as soup of the day, or crispy slow cooked beef cheek, but it's the mains that are the highlight of the event. With traditional options such as roasted dry aged sirloin of beef, or nut, date & sage roast, served with all the trimmings, there are other options for those in the mood for something a little different. Finish off with something sweet, like the classic sticky toffee pudding.

On the doorstep of Shibden Mill Inn there are plenty of wonderful walks and attractions within easy reach. Halifax is also just a 10-minute drive, with Leeds just 30 minutes away.

We love Shibden Mill Inn and have been a number of times over the years for meals. This was the first time we had stayed as it was a wedding treat to ourselves. We got married that afternoon. We had a meal with family and then me and my wife stayed in the suite. Here are our thoughts: The good things: The food was fabulous. The service was efficient The room was also fabulous except for the points below Our stay would have been Even Better If: Whilst the service was efficient, the staff seemed to be always in a rush and there was no engagement with us as guests or warmth in the service. This was particularly true at breakfast where we felt a little uncomfortable asking for something from the member of staff as she seemed so busy even though there were only two or three couples sat down. As regards the room, I'm sure it is on their maintenance list but two electronic blinds high up on the roof don't work so the light came in very early into the room. Also just a little thing (but its these little things that make you feel special and looked after alot of the time) but we had to ask for coffee pods which had run out. There were only decaffeinated ones. It would also have been a lovely gesture if in some way our wedding day had been acknowledged either with a small token of acknowledgement or even verbally by the staff but there was not even a mention of congratulations despite including this on both the food and room booking. We still enjoyed our stay very much but I think the staff missed the mark on their welcome, friendliness, warmth and attention to details. I hope this changes as Shibden Mill Inn is a delight and real asset to our local area.

Historic building on different levels, quirky and well decorated. The setting is beautiful as is the road to the mill overlooking a valley. The housekeeping could be better as the carpets needed vacuuming and dust on dado rails and accessories. Staff really obliging and friendly. The restaurant is excellent as is the cellar. The optional service charge was worth it due to the quality of the food and service. Normally I tip to what I think it was worth. 2nd visit and would visit again.

Always a lovely atmosphere in the historic inn. Good food and a great wine list. Wonderful service. The Caesar broccoli was a miss for us. The steak was perfect but one of our party had seafood and said it was disappointing and a tad bland on this occasion. Possibly my favourite pub in Yorkshire. It’s certainly hard to beat on a chilly winters day. Always a good atmosphere and terrific food. Fab wine list too. 10/10
