Boston Tea Party in Exeter is an all-day dog-friendly Breakfast and Brunch cafe with plenty of seating for you to catch up with friends.

Voted one of the best 25 Brunch spots in the UK, BTP has become one of the most popular West Country and Midlands chain of brunch cafes since its first store opened in 1995. BTP love their coffee and showcase a guest espresso that changes every 12 weeks to feature some of their favourite roasters, such as Unkle Funka and Morenitas. Breakfast is served all day (the perfect excuse to wake up at 2pm and still enjoy a bit of bacon) and the chefs at BTP have managed to create healthier variations of their favourite dishes. Their homemade spelt granola uses spelt flakes rather than oats for easier digestion and more protein, while The Boss and The Westcountry 'Fry-Ups' are actually not fried, but baked, and come with granary toast as standard. Every little helps, right?

BTP pride themselves on their ethical approaches, seeking local suppliers and quality produce in all their cafes. In fact, they are so set on helping the planet that they have now banned the single use cup in favour of re-usable cups which can be purchased over the counter or borrowed on a 'cup loan' scheme; donating 10p of every cup purchase to local community projects, as well as banning the plastic straw and having a strict recycling scheme in all stores.

An excellent visit to BTP , met for breakfast with a friend that I hadn’t seen in ages (had lots to catch up on)! I had Smashed Avocado on Sourdough Toast, this was delicious, and several flat whites. Staff were very pleasant and we were left to get on a chat without feeling that they wanted us to leave. A lovely time was had by all, will definitely return soon.
