A wee family-run café tucked in the historic Port ‘o Leith, Roseleaf specialise in comfort food and cosiness.

There is a ramshackle, DIY feel to Roseleaf, dotted with pre-loved furniture and trinkets.

All food is cooked fresh, with an emphasis on seasonal, sustainable and local produce. Try the moreish French Toast with streaky bacon and maple syrup or the Eggs Benedict for a traditional Brunch. If you’re looking for some traditional Scottish grub, the ‘Chunky Cullen Skink’ should sort you out – creamy fish soup with smoked haddock, leeks and tatties, with homemade bread to mop it up.

The stunning Leith river is just a stones-throw away, ideal for a stroll before departing from York Place Station.
