Fantastic place to stay, bit on the pricey side but so worth it. We got our room upgraded, paid for a slight upgrade but they actually upgraded us to a suite which we were grateful for as it was our anniversary. Great little amenities all around, beautiful rooms and views. Staff are great too and extremely lovely and helpful!

Wanted to love it but simply couldn't. Poor sound insulation with beats from events held within the hotel echoing into the room well past 12am (reported at reception), and wardrobe vibrating from movements from above (poorly secured) waking us up at 5am - room 808. Both events reiterated at reception at the time of checkout. Breakfast selection somewhat poor - continental breakfast consisting of cereals, fruit salad and pastries only. Overcharged on the invoice for room upgrade which wasn't requested nor offered and had to chase up for correction 2 days upon check out.

Malmaison Edinburgh City offers a stylish and comfortable stay right in the heart of the city. The rooms are spacious with incredibly comfortable beds—ideal for unwinding after a day out. The staff are friendly and welcoming, adding a warm touch to the overall experience. There are a few small details that could elevate the stay, such as having complimentary water readily available in the rooms rather than having to request it. The shower also lacked a bit in power and temperature, which was a slight letdown considering the otherwise high standard. On the plus side, the location is absolutely perfect—within walking distance to so much of what Edinburgh has to offer. Breakfast is another highlight, with a great variety and delicious, freshly made pastries that are worth getting up for. A solid choice for a city break with room for a few refinements.
