This is a very pleasant and historic spot to have a bite to eat in the heart of Dublin. We've been here twice now, around 1 year apart: once for breakfast and again for tea and a cake. Both times we found the cafe to be busy, but well-serviced and with short to no wait time. The staff is friendly and efficient and the food/drink is excellent. The scone in particular I found to be really good. The tea is brought to the table ready-to-drink, so don't wait too long to pour or you may find it bitter, depending on your preferences/what you ordered. Prices are actually very fair considering the quality and location. The stained glass is lovely and creates a warm atmosphere with the dark wood features of the building. You can get a sneak peak of the bakery through glass windows on your way downstairs to the toilets (which are clean and nice). Will definitely return.

Great place to sit, relax, drink coffee, people watch, and eat in an original setting. Attentive service without feeling rushed was a bonus too. The Irish breakfast looked wonderful, but having eaten in an airport and hour and a half earlier, I had a coffee and a slice of Basque cheesecake. Not the largest serving, but pure heaven.

Very nice restaurant with simple straight forward items on the menu. The portion size was perfect without overfilling you. The quiche was delicious and so was their power salad and scones. The decor (stained glass) inside the restaurant created by Harry Clarke of four column is wonderful. The restaurant is busy and gives a nice vibe. We had reservations and got a seat immediately. The service was a little slow for us due to the busy nature but it didn’t bother us. Definitely a place to go and visit for its internal and external decor and food.
