We went to Jones & Sons for Sunday lunch (17/08/25) and it was absolutely fabulous! The starter of carrot purée, asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes and almonds was unreal, so fresh and full of flavour. We also tried the garlic king prawns which were buttery, rich and completely delicious. Then came the roast dinner - and wow, it was huge! Packed with veg, a giant Yorkshire pudding, three different generous cuts of chicken (breast, thigh and leg), a turkey and orange stuffing ball, parsnip purée, and the most gorgeous gravy. We honestly couldn’t believe our eyes when it arrived. Every element was hearty, comforting and full of flavour. A special mention to Juli, who served us and was so attentive and genuinely lovely - they really made our experience extra enjoyable. If I’m being very nit-picky, the only thing that didn’t quite hit the mark were the roast potatoes, which were a little hard inside and not quite fluffy or crispy. But with everything else being so spot on and delicious, it hardly detracted from the meal. We left extremely happy and are already planning to return - next time bringing the whole family!

I had not been to Jones & Sons in years. I used to visit often when it was on (I think) Arcola Street and absolutely loved it. When it moved, it seemed to turn into more of a prosecco-and-hen-do venue, so I stopped going. On a whim, I returned for the Sunday Roast, and it was fantastic. One of the best I have had for a while. The gravy could have been a little thicker and richer, but that is me picking. The Yorkshire pudding was ---yeesssss! Service was great, in fact it was perfect. The restaurant, in the clear light of day, could do with a bit of TLC, but that did not take away from the experience. I will certainly be back. 2 X roast, sticky toffee pudding (huge thumbs up for not being tight with the sticky sauce!) and a bottle of wine.

Team Edwards Photography. Fantastic urban wedding venue with bags of atmosphere. The food is out of this world. If you're looking for an urban wedding venue with a none traditional feel then it’s great. The perfect party atmosphere that suits a modern wedding couple. The venue works so well combined with a ceremony at the nearby Hackney Town Hall. Some of my best times ever as a wedding photographer have been at this brill place. Give me a shout if you want an unbiased opinion/recommendation of the venue. Photos by @teamedwardsphotography on Instagram
